Popular belief is that composites are not sustainable materials, when in fact they are. Because sustainability means more than recycling. For composites, it means thinking outside the mold. It means creating with materials that are greener to make and greener to use than metals. It means looking at the big picture – the life cycle analysis – not just the end picture.
